Terms of Use
Last updated: 13 August 2026
These terms cover the Android apps published by OffAI Labs — Offline AI, Offline Notebook, Hearth, Offline Translator and Teleprompter (the “Apps”). Installing or using an App means you accept them.
1. What you get
A personal, worldwide, non-exclusive, revocable licence to install and use the Apps on devices you control, for any lawful purpose, personal or commercial. The Apps run entirely on your device; there is no account to create and no service to subscribe to.
2. What you may not do
- Redistribute, resell or sublicence an App as your own product.
- Reverse-engineer the Apps except where that right cannot be excluded by law.
- Use the Apps to break the law, or to generate content that does.
- Use the Apps to produce material that sexualises minors, incites violence, or is designed to defraud or impersonate a real person.
3. AI-generated content
The Apps generate text, translations and images with machine-learning models running on your device. Output can be wrong, incomplete, biased or offensive, and it is not reviewed by anyone before you see it — there is no server in the path that could review it.
Do not rely on the output for medical, legal, financial or safety-critical decisions. You are responsible for what you do with it, and for checking it before you act on it or publish it.
As between you and us, output you generate is yours. We cannot claim it: we never receive it. Note that generated text is not guaranteed to be unique, and that the model weights you download carry their own licences (see section 5).
4. Your content
Your conversations, documents, notebooks, memories and images stay in the App's private storage on your device. We do not receive, store, analyse or train on them — theprivacy policy states exactly what does and does not leave the phone.
Because your content lives only on your device, we cannot recover it. Losing the device, uninstalling the App or clearing its storage destroys it permanently. Backups are your responsibility, and by design the Apps exclude this content from Android cloud backup.
5. Models and third-party software
The Apps download AI models published by third parties. Each model carries its own licence and its own use restrictions, which travel with the weights to you. Every licence text is reproduced in full inside each App, readable offline, underAbout → Open source licences. Your use of a model is additionally governed by that model's licence.
The Apps also include open-source components (llama.cpp, ggml, stable-diffusion.cpp and others) under their own licences, likewise reproduced in full inside the Apps.
6. No warranty
The Apps are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that an App will run on every device, that output will be accurate, or that operation will be uninterrupted or error-free.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, OffAI Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from use of the Apps. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the App — which, for a free App, is nothing.
Nothing here limits rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection law in your country, including statutory rights that cannot be waived.
8. Changes and availability
We may update the Apps and these terms. Material changes will be published at this address with a new date above. An App already installed keeps working whether or not you accept a later version — there is no server that can switch it off — but continuing to use updated versions means accepting the updated terms.
